A QLD Primary School class learns to knit

You may have heard us mention that we receive blankets from all over Australia  for our Think Outside the Sqaure Blanket challenge. But this year, we received a package that was just so special.

An amazing teacher  who teaches the Year 4 Green Class has taught all these children in her class to knit squares to make up this beautiful blanket all completed in school colours. She managed to sew them together for the class and send us this amazing package for our challenge this year.

Can we just take a moment to truly appreciate the amazing effort by these incredible kids?
The Class of 4 GREEN at Guardian Angels School , we are so grateful to each and everyone of you, including the teachers  for all their hard work in not only creating this blanket for us – but to the whole class that had to learn how to knit!

During this process, they learnt about where this blanket may go, who might be the recipient, and how it would make them feel to receive a warm huggable blanket. Its so important to teach our younger generations the importance of community spirit and this a perfect example  of giving back to the community – no matter what your age.

To everyone involved, this will be so treasured by the recipient and you will have made someones life that little bit brighter and a whole lot warmer in the colder months.
Find out how you can be part of the challenge and get all of your questions answered at our FAQ’s section.
