547 Reasons to Smile – TOTS Blanket Challenge 2023 Wrap-Up
At The Creative Fringe, we’re beaming with pride as we wrap up another incredible year hosting the Think Outside the Square (TOTS) Blanket Challenge. While we just missed our ambitious goal of 650 blankets, the final tally of 547 handmade blankets is nothing short of extraordinary—and more than enough to warm hundreds of hearts this winter.
These beautiful, hand-crafted blankets have now been handed over to our incredible charity partners who ensure they’re delivered to those in our community who need them most. From people experiencing homelessness to women and children fleeing domestic violence, these blankets bring comfort, dignity and a tangible reminder that someone out there cares.
As the host venue of the TOTS Blanket Challenge, we’re constantly blown away by the generosity and dedication of the community who makes this possible. You responded to every callout we made—knitting, crocheting, sewing, donating squares, and even helping us sort through the mountain of fabric that arrived in our final days of the challenge. (We owe Australia Post a thank you, too, for delivering so many care-filled parcels!)
