Elva’s Legacy Squares for our Blanket Challenge
It is with great sadness that we share with our TOTS community that one of our amazing volunteers Elva Lane, had passed away last Thursday.
Elva has been a part of our Think Outside The Square Challenge for a quite a few years and she was knitting these squares right up until her passing last week.
Her husband John dropped into the Fringe today to hand over her last squares along with some of her cherished needles and hooks, in the hope that they will be used. I’ve no doubt that they will be and handed over to anyone needing these.
Elva especially loved knitting these squares, knowing that these would be going to support the homeless in our community through our Charity organisations. Elva was very passionate about this cause.
To John and Elva’s family, we send our heartfelt thoughts to you all, and so much gratitude for all the help that Elva has given our community over the years, not to mention how many people would be wrapped in her lovingly made squares.
Thank you Elva
