My promise to you is to produce the most appropriate designs and solutions to fulfil your brief on each project or retainer. I’ll respect you and your business by keeping all my correspondence and information confidential. You can count on me for guidance, support, and honest communication throughout. My aim is always to deliver results you can be proud of – on time and within budget.
YOUR PROMISE TO ME
To help me deliver to a high standard, you agree to:
- Provide all necessary information, content, approvals, materials, system access, logins and feedback in a timely manner
- Ensure all information supplied is accurate and that you have the authority to engage me and provide access to required systems
- You agree to respect our work and industry by not taking our designs elsewhere without purchasing copyright or without written permission.
Delays in feedback or missing information may lead to timeline extensions or reactivation fees if a project is paused for more than 30 consecutive days.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
I provide a range of creative and strategic services, including brand strategy, visual identity development, customer journey mapping, customer experience design, communication and marketing strategy, and related consulting services.
The specific scope of work for your project will be outlined in your proposal document. Any services outside the agreed scope may be offered at an additional cost and will require written approval before I proceed.
QUOTES, REVISIONS & SCOPE CHANGES
All projects start with an initial briefing meeting – in person, on Zoom, or via a briefing form. This first session is complimentary. Additional meetings are charged pro-rata at my hourly rate of $495 in 15-minute increments.
Quotes must be approved before I begin work. Most quotes are based on the brief you provide. However, if:
- the brief changes
- feedback or content is delayed
- I need to follow up repeatedly
- more than two rounds of changes are requested
…additional time will be charged in 15-minute increments.
Unless stated otherwise in your proposal, each deliverable includes two rounds of reasonable revisions. Any changes beyond this, or changes made after concept approval, will be quoted and billed additionally. I actively monitor for scope creep to ensure alignment.
Quotes are valid for 30 days.
RETAINER AGREEMENTS
I offer retainer agreements by invitation only. These include:
- Dedicated time scheduled specifically for your business
- A clear strategy with action plan
- Priority service
- Fast-turnaround flexibility
Retainers run for 3, 6 or 12 months for an agreed number of days. Once signed, the contract is binding. Invoices are issued monthly, in advance. Please note:
- Hours do not roll over
- After-hours work is not included
- Early termination will require payment of the full remaining term
PROJECT DELIVERY TIMELINES
Project timelines will be outlined during onboarding. These are dependent on timely input, feedback and approvals.
If you have a tight deadline, let me know from the start. If feedback is delayed or things become last-minute, a Quick Turnaround Fee of 20% of the estimate may be added.
I aim to meet 100% of deadlines 100% of the time – but I’ll need your collaboration. I’m not responsible for delays caused by lack of content, unpaid invoices, or external factors beyond my control (like platform outages or natural disasters).
THIRD-PARTY PLATFORMS & SOFTWARE
I may recommend third-party tools, platforms, service providers or systems such as CRM platforms, automation tools, stock libraries, email providers, web developers or hosting services.
You are responsible for:
- Any subscription or licensing costs
- Ongoing platform fees
- Following each third-party’s terms of use
I am not liable for the performance, availability, pricing changes, or service interruptions of these platforms.
SIGNOFF
All artwork and final deliverables must be signed off digitally via my website before production or publishing. Emails giving permission to proceed are not accepted as official signoff.
Once artwork is signed off, I am not responsible for typos or misprints. Any changes after signoff will be charged at my hourly rate.
Please note: Nothing will be sent to print or made live until full signoff is received – no exceptions.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & COPYRIGHT
All final deliverables (e.g. logo files, brand assets, journey maps, documentation, workflows) become yours once full payment is received. You’ll have full usage rights for business use.
Working files, draft materials, source files, proprietary tools, templates and frameworks remain my intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing.
You may not resell, license or sublicense any work without written approval.
USING YOUR OWN PRINTER
You’re welcome to use your own printer, but please note:
- It’s your responsibility to supply your printer’s artwork specifications
- I charge from $550 per file (depending on size) to supply print-ready PDFs
- I’m not responsible for the quality or issues with external printers
- If files need to be amended due to missing specs, amendment charges will apply
FEES, PAYMENTS & TERMS
Payment terms will be outlined in your proposal. Typically:
- A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking
- The balance is payable prior to go-live or launch
- Longer projects may follow a fortnightly or monthly payment schedule
Full payment is required before deliverables are made live or sent to print.
If a website project is delayed by more than 6 weeks due to missing content, I reserve the right to invoice the remaining balance and provide you with access to complete the content at your pace.
All invoices are quoted inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.
Outstanding invoices may result in work being paused or access being suspended.
In case of non-payment, you agree to cover legal fees or collection costs incurred in recovering the amount owed. Under the Privacy Act 1988, I may share necessary details with a credit agency if required.
Note: All work requested and produced will be invoiced, whether used or not.
PORTFOLIO & PROMOTIONAL USAGE
By engaging me, you grant permission to showcase work created – including brand assets, visuals, systems, screenshots and case studies – in my portfolio, social media, advertising, and marketing unless agreed otherwise in writing.
RESULTS DISCLAIMER
My services are designed to support clarity, optimisation, and better brand experiences. While I apply best-practice strategy and implementation, I cannot guarantee specific outcomes, financial results or business growth.
Performance depends on many external factors beyond my control.
CONFIDENTIALITY & PRIVACY
Both parties agree to maintain confidentiality of all sensitive, internal or commercial information shared throughout the project. I will never share your data outside of the purposes listed above without permission.
You are responsible for ensuring compliance with any relevant privacy legislation when handling customer data in systems I help configure.
LIABILITY LIMITATION
My total liability is limited to the amount you’ve paid for the relevant engagement. I am not responsible for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost profits or reputational damage.
TERMINATION & CANCELLATION
Either party may terminate this agreement in writing.
In the event of termination:
- Any completed work will be invoiced and payable in full
- Deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced
- Any outstanding amounts remain due, particularly regarding retainers
GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Disputes will be handled through good faith negotiation and, if needed, mediation before legal action.
